Great Guitar!!!
By cturc45
There are many things that people avoid when buying a guitar for the first time. Some people tend to believe that the only important thing about the guitar is what color it is and how it's shaped. However, this is where people make a mistake. When buying a guitar, one has to look at sound quality, pickups, what strings would make the best sound, whether they prefer a whammy bar or a toggle pickup, how far the tone goes, as well as the quality of the fret board and how comfortable playing a different shaped guitar would be. Such things are important when buying a guitar. The ESP LTD V-50 is the way to go.
When I bought this guitar, I was looking for something that could make distortions sound as if a distortion pedal was used, but still has a solid clean sound. The ESP LTD V-50 guitar is a V-shaped guitar, which wouldn't be comfortable for many people because you have to hold it at a different position than a regular shaped guitar. However, like many new things, it's easy to get used to. The ESP LTD V-50 is solely made for heavy metal; however, it is possible to change the effects on the guitar by switching the toggle pickup and decreasing the tone. Aside from having a toggle pickup, the ESP LTD V-50 has two LH-150 hum bucking pickups, which gives it a unique sound quality.
The guitar itself has a black body color, a rosewood fret board and maple neck and chrome knobs and other hardware. The unique V-shape of the guitar makes it possible to hit notes that could not be played on regular shaped guitars. The strings may vary and it is possible to change the strings to your own preference. The sound may also vary depending on the amp being used.
When I first played this guitar, it was a little difficult to position it in the most comfortable way possible, since it's V-shaped. However, after a few days of playing the guitar, I got used to it. You could always use a strap if you prefer standing while playing. I also realized that it is possible to hit the highest notes on the guitar, which would help if you're meaning to play some Children of Bodom. The guitar itself was easy to tune.
Overall, this is an amazing guitar for those who are interested in playing some heavy metal. It is affordable, only costing $250, and it has great quality.

Perfect!

Okay. Most people think that the only kind of good guitar is a guitar that is expensive. Well this obviously proves it wrong. Now this one in particular is cheap only on amazon. Retail is around $599.99. Even if it WAS cheap, it's still amazing. The humbuckers on this bad boy sound just as good as my friend's Schecter Hellraiser which has EMG actives. The guitar holds a tune for a long time. If you're buying this, you're probably looking to be a "metal-master" or hardcore rocker right? In this case this thing has an amazing overdrive/ distortion effect, but an even better clean. A few things that most people might be scared about to buy this guitar is that they think its too small or damaged. I'm saying it's full size (The neck lets you hit 2 consecutive octaves per sting when others get only one and close to it) and the way it was packaged was over procted (there's no such thing as over-protected, but it could take a fall). THe guitar also arrived without a scratch in a standard ESP box surrounded by a bigger one with packing peanuts. Do get it, it's fun to play, flashy as ever, and has an AMAZING sound! The only downfall that I had was that it took forever to get here when I ordered it (but it WAS around christmas so it might just have been me), and that it comes with no case. Flying V's wont fit in a case that isn't made for a flying v unless you do some serious modifications to either the guitar or the case you already own.
