5ESP LTD M-17 7 string is Awesome!
By Scott Hill
I got this guitar last weekend from a local music store. I am a hobbyist player and went there looking for something different and I found it. For the money this is a great guitar. Going from 6 to 7 strings takes a second or two adjustment, at least it did for me. It also, depends on how you look at 7 strings on a guitar... "oh, great there is one more string I have to use..." or "holy crap, I have so many more possibilities..."
I play on a Peavey Bandit 112, and I think it sounds great. The 7th string is a lower B in standard tuning which gives you a good low end without having to use a drop tuning. Unless, you like to tune that way, then you still win.
I recommend this guitar if you are looking for a good 7 string. If nothing else, it is cheap enough to mod, if you are into that.

3cheap starter
By mike in hawaii
Received guitar very quickly through woodwind brasswind with free shipping.. guitar looks very nice, sounds good.. I do not like the tuners, they are cheap and the slightest turn makes em go apeship. Stays in tune well enough, however. The 25 1/2 scale also leaves something to be desired, namely a 27 inch scale. Thinking I should have got the longer-scaled schecter. All in all a decent buy with no major defects.
